All participants must be:

Under age 19 as of the last day of the national tournament (August

BOYS DIVISION
Age Brackets
Regional qualifying tournaments have two age divisions:
14 years old and under
15-18 years old
Boys state
tournament has two age divisions:
14 years old and under
15-18 years old
Boys may only participate in one regional tournament.
Play is from the back tees for both age divisions. A tie
for first place and runners-up in any age division will be decided by a sudden
death play-off beginning on Hole #1 immediately upon completion of the final
round.
GIRLS DIVISION
Competition for girls begins with the two-day state
tournament, and the top 36-hole scorer is invited to the national
tournament. Girls may choose to play in
a boys division regional tournament to gain tournament experience and practice.
However, they are not considered part of the field of competition and do not
receive trophies. If a girl participates in a regional tournament, she must
still register and pay the appropriate fees to play in the state tournament, at
which she is guaranteed acceptance. There is a maximum of 52 girls accepted at
the state tournament.
